“We cannot thank you enough for taking such beautiful pictures of our wedding day…”

Rachel & Mark. Two people in love. A château. France. A perfect romantic fairytale wedding.

If you have never been to Petit-Bersac in France – go! It is the most exquisite town. I can see why Rachel & Mark chose to have their wedding here.

The day started with bridal preparations in Château Le Mas de Montet, Dordogne a few minutes drive from the centre of the village of Aubeterre-sur-Dronne. A stunning castle with grounds that stretch as far as you can see and a tree lined drive which resembles nothing short of an actual fairytale.

Rachel was in high spirits despite the threat of storms and rain! We headed back to the centre of Aubeterre-sur-Dronne for the ceremony. The ceremony took place in the Subterranean Church of St Jean. The Church was built into the rock in the 12th century and is the largest subterranean church in Europe. It was filled with candles and, of course, the groom, Mark.

The rain came just as Rachel arrived at the Church but she still stayed smiling. During the ceremony a thunderstorm also hit and the biggest roar of thunder had everyone laughing as the vows were being spoken. The thunder really did echo through the walls of the Church! The one thing you cannot control on your wedding day is the weather!!

Drinks in the village square followed the ceremony before we all headed back to the castle for the reception. Fortunately the sun decided to shine at this stage and remained for the rest of the day.

Rachel & Mark continued to relax with their family and friends in the beautiful castle grounds before moving into their evening celebrations and meal.

A wonderful French wedding filled with love, laughter and dancing.
