Your Destination Wedding
As a destination wedding photographer I have a lot of experience in overseas weddings! I've captured destination weddings across Europe and seem to keep being drawn back to Italy and France, in particular.
Destination weddings are usually a bit more complex than UK weddings; timings usually vary and, quite often, tend to run behind. I am experienced in dealing with all of the differences that occur when capturing a destination wedding.
I have worked alongside many destination wedding planners and can comfortably navigate my way between many venues on a wedding day.
Hanging out of a car's window to capture you in your cute wedding car in front is one of my favourite things!! Rolling hills in the background... or maybe the gentle sound of waves during your ceremony... sunlit vineyards... underground candlelit crypts... castles... I have experienced them all.

On the wedding day, you had everything under control, you knew exactly when and where you would get the best shots and made sure we were never away from our guests for too long.
Petit-Bersac - France
The taster photos made me feel emotional and now that we’ve seen the rest – the pictures are stunning!
Lucignano / Sinalunga - Italy
On the day, Charli was so professional, easy to work with and kept everything going in the right direction even though the timings of the day had slipped considerably! She had planned meticulously and knew all the best places for photographs and even managed to grab us at exactly the right moment for the sun to come out from behind the clouds for 10 minutes at sunset!
Umbria - Italy
Our friends keep commenting on how unique the photos are. We adore them; you have done an amazing job!
San Gimignano, Tuscany - Italy
DO YOU VISIT THE VENUE BEFOREHAND?
Yes, as a destination wedding photographer, I find it useful on the day before the wedding to visit the venue(s) to familiarise myself with the locations and also to work out the timings for travelling between each.
Generally, my couples will also opt to have a destination engagement shoot the day before their wedding which makes a lovely addition to the wedding photos and the story of your day.
CAN YOU CAPTURE POST-WEDDING CELEBRATIONS AFTER THE WEDDING DAY?
Yes, a lot of my destination wedding photography involves a few days' coverage.
I can stay for as long as you need me to - I want to make sure I capture the full story of your wedding.
Bespoke quotes can be arranged for this type of coverage. Please contact me via my contact page or firstname.lastname@example.org
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN CAPTURING DESTINATION WEDDINGS?
I've captured UK weddings for over 10 years and destination weddings for over 6 years ! No destination is too far.
I absolutely adore travelling and visiting new places so, to be able to mix my love of destination wedding photography, with seeing new places, is so lovely.
There are a lot more moving parts with destination weddings and I am fully equipped with both experience and technical knowledge to deal with whatever the day may bring.
DO YOU CHARGE MORE FOR DESTINATION WEDDINGS?
My package prices are the same whether your wedding is in the UK or is a destination wedding.
The only difference is that I also charge for travel and accommodation for myself and my assistant photographer. Estimates can be found in the FAQ section on my 'Your Day' page - see menu. A main meal will also need to be provided for me and my assistant photographer on the wedding day.
Some couples arrange for me to stay on site in which case only travel costs will be charged. Please do contact me for an estimate as I will always only charge at cost price and will try to save you money wherever possible.
